“Optimism, resiliency, & groundedness, no matter where we find ourselves”

Besides certain popular consciousness shifting plant medicine, dandelions are perhaps the most controversial of plants.

Some people hold such hatred for them that they will spray their lawn with carcinogenic poisons in the hopes of ridding their green oases of their bright yellow faces. Is this simply good propaganda marketing or is there something else at play?

Others will passionately defend the dandelion, praising its nutrient density, benefits to soil health, and it being one of the first foods the bees are able to visit each year. (Look out for a little chat about dandelion coming out before the end of the month!)

One of my earliest plant based memories was talking to my mom about the dandelions in our yard with confusion about what made this flower a “weed” and therefore different from a real flower.

As an essence, dandelion offers us their resilience, groundedness, ability to move stuck energies, and an optimistic attitude in all circumstances.

I don’t know about you, but these last few years have felt pretty rough in certain ways to me. There have been days where my optimism for the trajectory of the world is deeply shaken with feelings of hopelessness.

Dandelion reminds me that life must continue on, no matter where we find ourselves. I always feel a bit of inspiration when I see a dandelion growing through the cracks in the sidewalk. If they can do it, why can’t I?

These special edition dandelion essences are held in lemon peel and vanilla bean infused vodka & honey - they’re very tasty!

ingredients: lemon peel + vanilla infused vodka. dandelion essence. honey.
