Summer Solstice Elixir
Summer Solstice Elixir
keywords: joy, celebration, simple pleasures, opening to enjoyment
I’ve never made an elixir quite like this one before. When I put it together I was imagining the feeling that the world takes on around the summer solstice - vibrancy, celebration, play, when we feel both full of life but also taking time to rest.
I reflected on peak moments of childhood in the summer. Playing in the backyard for hours, the excitement of going to the town pool, riding my bike around the neighborhood, walking to friends houses down the street, catching fireflies at night, beach days, Micky Mouse ice cream pops from street carts, and watching the fireworks on 4th of July.
As an adult, those peak moments are different but they share a very similar flavor.
Normally I write a handful of things that I feel my essences could be helpful for, but for the Summer Solstice Elixir it’s just one:
✺ reminding us of the joy of simply living ✺
It’s sadly not an intuitive thing to do with the way our world encourages (often forces) us to structure our lives, but it’s one of the most vital aspects of being human.
